Mildred J. Parsons, 86

Mildred Jean Parsons, 86, of Wheelersburg, Ohio formerly of Greenup, Ky. went to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Parsons was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Greenup County, Ky. a daughter of the late Asa and Manda Melvina Stapleton Reed. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne H. Parsons three sons Robert Parsons Paul Parsons Timothy Parsons two brothers Fred Reed Robert Reed nine sisters Iva Potter, Minnie Barrett Hazel, Wagoner Lora Raike, Zara Reed Ruby Bell, Blanche Kronk Betty Royster, Helen Moore, one son-in-law Chip Clarke.

She is survived by one son Steve Parsons Wheelersburg, Ohio, two daughters Robin Clarke Newport, Ky. Marsha and her husband Paul Hurley Wheelersburg, Ohio, one sister Essie Bryant Reynoldsburg, Ohio, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Reed Funeral home in Greenup by Rev. Dennis R. Tate. Burial will be in the Quillen Cemetery Lynn, Ky. Friends may call Thursday at 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
