A Michigan man is facing felony drug charges at the Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 120 oxymorphone pills and 183 oxycodone pills, with a street value of about $10,300 during a traffic stop Wednesday in Ross County.

The driver of the vehicle, Parrish R. Michaux, 41, of Detroit, Mich., faces charges of possession of oxymorphone and oxycodone, both second-degree felonies.

According to the OSHP, troopers stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Impala on U.S. 23 southbound, near milepost 8, about 5:10 p.m.

Troopers said they observed “criminal indicators,” and a patrol canine was dispatched to the scene. Troopers say the canine alerted them to the presence of drugs and the vehicle was searched. The search revealed the suspected drugs concealed in the vehicle’s engine compartment.
