The Tri-State Junior Golf Tour’s latest tournament took the youth golfers to Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland, Ky. Monday.

Jake Stevens took the 10-12 Division with a low score of 49 and Fuzzy Vance finishing second at 55.

Mitchell McFarland continued his strong summer with a first place finish in the 13-15 Division. McFarland shot a 72, 31 shots ahead of the next finisher.

In the 16-18 Division, Brandon Jones finished with a low score of 80 and was followed by Ty Hiles who shot an 87.

The Tour will next visit Twin Solos in Lavalette on July 17. Play will wrap up at Guyan Golf and Country Club on July 27. The July 27 leg of the tour will feature the younger age groupings that participated in the tournament at Shawnee State Golf Resort July 5.

Cameron Phillips, who won the first 6 and Under Division edition, has been competing in the Calloway Junior World Golf Championship in San Diego California this week.

After Tuesday’s first round of play, Phillips was in 29th place with two rounds remaining.
