Lunata Jean Henson, 90, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her residence. Born July 5, 1921, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Charles and Nancy Music Zornes, she was a former employee of Williams Manufacturing in Portsmouth, Sears Catalog Dept. and along with her husband traveled all over setting up restaurants. She also said she was in the Secret Service, it was so secret the Government didn’t even know she was there.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Ron) Sieling of Portsmouth; one son, Charles Ray Henson of Nicholasville, Ky., a very special daughter in law Shanna Henson of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Michael Ray (Debbie) Sieling, Mitchell Wayne (Gina) Sieling, Robert Dale (Kim) Henson, Kelly (Jamey) Roberts; eleven great grandchildren, Yolanda Sieling, Ronda Sieling Ison, Lindsey Smith Sieling, Genie (Matt) Groff, Lisa Sieling, Christina Wycoff, Valerie Henson, Michael Sieling, Brian Sieling, Justin Roberts, Tabitha Roberts, and nine great great grandchildren, Mercedez Sieling, Brittany Johnson, Lexus Justice, Sierra Justice, Logan Smith, Samantha Wycoff, Tyler Groff, Ella Groff, and Lillian Dae Sieling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Joseph “Cotton” Henson; her step father, Charles Markham; one child in infancy, Earl Joseph Henson, and two sisters. She also leaves behind three special little boys, Cash and Cage Russell and Aiden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Dennis Dawes officiating. Burial will be at Lucasville Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
