SCCTC Ceremony is May 21

The Scioto County Career Technical Center will have its completion exercises at 6:30 p.m. May 21 on the school front lawn, 951 Vern Riffe Drive, Lucasville. In case of inclement weather, the completion exercises will be at Valley High School, 18215 Ohio 728, Lucasville.

Cleanup day is Saturday

Clay Township trustees have proclaimed Saturday as Clay Township Community Cleanup Day. There will be dumpsters located in the township for the Clay residents to get rid of trash and cleanup their community. The dumpsters will be located at Clay High School, Rubyville Fire Department, Clay Township Pool and Miller’s Gas Station in Twin Valley.

Do not dispose of household chemicals, paint cans, tires or batteries in the dumpsters.

Groundbreaking is May 19

The Washington-Nile Local School District will have its groundbreaking event for the Portsmouth West Middle School at 10 a.m. May 19 at Portsmouth West High School Football Stadium, 15332 U.S. 52, West Portsmouth.

Sasha Colette presents concert

Recording artist and songwriter Sasha Colette and her band, The Last Dance, will perform at 7 p.m May 23 at the Greenbo Lake State Resort Park Amphitheatre in Greenup, Ky. Colette’s music is rich in heritage from her Eastern Kentucky roots and can be described as Folk, Americana and Blues. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets with you.
