The Lewis County (Ky.) Sheriff's Office reported their activity from the later part of last week, including separate incidents of theft and suspicious activity. Both incidents resulted in arrests made, while at least three individuals still are being sought by the sheriff's office.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a theft complaint on Quicks Run Road at the Martin Store at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday. The caretaker of the property reportedly observed two men attempting to steal batteries from construction equipment.

The caretaker confronted the two men and managed to hold one of them, Joshua Duncan, 20, of Maysville, Ky., until Deputy Dwayne Stone arrived from the sheriff's office. The second man ran into a nearby wooded area, and later was identified as Ricky Flinders Jr.

The suspects' vehicle was found near the scene, and inside Stone recovered four sets of bolt cutters, a reciprocating saw, aluminum wire and alcoholic beverages. The vehicle was impounded and Duncan was charged with criminal trespass, theft, possession of burglary tools and alcohol intoxication. He was taken to the Lewis County Detention Center.

Flinders was never found, and also is being actively sought by law enforcement for other criminal charges.

Several days later, in an unrelated case on Saturday, officers from the sheriff's office responded to a complaint of suspicious activity at about 9:40 p.m. around Gilbert Salvage Yard in Garrison, Ky. The caller reported seeing four men exiting the property and leaving in a blue 1993 Ford Fiesta with a loud exhaust.

Deputies Stone and Mike Edington located the vehicle on Ky. 1306, four miles south of Garrison. According to the sheriff's office, as they attempted to stop the vehicle, two men quickly exited the vehicle. The men were identified by the sheriff's office as Johnny Prince of Garrison, and Jason Hall of Greenup, Ky.

Prince reportedly jumped into Kinniconick Creek, and Hall ran into a wooded area, while the vehicle traveled away with the remaining occupants inside. The Greenup County (Ky.) Sheriff's Office was advised to be on the lookout for the suspects' vehicle.

A call later was received by the sheriff's office, from a caller who reported purchasing aluminum rims from the suspects whom officers were chasing. The Vanceburg Police Department responded and recovered the wheels.

Greenup County Sheriff's Office then notified the Lewis County Sheriff's Office they had located the vehicle, and had both occupants in custody. Reportedly arrested were Justin Hall, 28, and Rhonda Prince Hall, 36 - both of Greenup, Ky. They were charged with receiving stolen property and were taken to the Lewis County Detention Center.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, Johnny Prince and Jason Hall remain at large.
