Greenup County authorities say that during the execution of multiple felony capital murder warrants, they discovered a meth lab and arrested two people.
Charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors, are Douglas Rhoden, 54, and Peter L. Rhoden, 53, both of No. 2 Perry’s Lane, Keyhoe, which is located in rural Greenup County.
Greenup County Sheriff Keith M. Cooper said on Thursday, deputies from his department, along with Kentucky State Police and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, executed multiple felony capital murder warrants at several different locations in Greenup and Lewis counties, and that during the execution of those warrants, deputies located a medium-sized methamphetamine lab that had not been activated yet. Cooper said he believe officers interrupted the operation as they were preparing to produce meth.
Cooper said both subjects were lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center, where they are being held without bond. He said the investigation into the case is ongoing with more arrests to be made.
