Ima Jean Alberts Patterson, 82, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was born July 14, 1929, in Hurricane, W.Va., daughter of the late Charles William and Mary Ann McCallister Alberts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Wayne Scott Smith 7/1/1964-6/7/1967; twin grandsons Kyle and Cody Williams on 9/10/1999; her husbands Gilford “Gib” Sowards on 3/6/1998, Jack Smith on 6/10/1965, and Roger “Pat” Patterson on 6/29/1989. She is survived by her children Linda Sowards (Larry) White of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Vickie Sowards (Bill) Lowder of Jacksonville, N.C., Tina Smith Doran of Lake Worth, Fla., Sherry Smith Pryor of Ocala, Fla., Gary Patterson of Dunnellon, Fla. and April Patterson (John) Williams of Ocala, Fla; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; twin sister Ina Jane Robinson and one sister Brenda Lawhon. She attended Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, Franklin Furnace, Ohio.

Funeral service will be conducted 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Andy Ramey. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
