To the Portsmouth Community: In February, I scouted Gallia Academy for my school/team. That was a fine treat for me — watching your outstanding Trojans’ team in action! I was sitting near one of the Portsmouth’s coaches’ wives. She offered some sage advice in terms of handling one of the Gallia Academy’s shooters: “Tell your coaches to get in that kid’s face!” As I was leaving, I offered her thanks and best wishes along the tourney trail for the Trojans. And, now they’re in the Final Four! I’ll be rooting for the best basketball team I observed in the 2011-2012!
