Helen Anderson, 91, of Beaver, formerly of Friendship, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at home.

Born on Dec. 27, 1920, in Otway, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Berta Hall Clifton.

Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Anderson and her son Richard R. Anderson.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth R. (Vanda) Vaughters of Erie, Colo.; one daughter, Janet Benner of Beaver; grandchildren, Ottie Benner and Randy (Paula) Benner, of all Beaver, Monique (Clifford) Brown of Nairobi, Kenya, John (Sawa) Vaughters of Tokyo, Japan, and Belinda (Eric) Reed of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Euradale Kempton of Dublin and Wilma (Harold) O’Dell of Friendship; one brother, James (Betty) Clifton of Wheeling, W.Va; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH, with Pastor Gregory Cooper officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and one-hour prior to the service on Friday.
