Hazel Duzan, 95
Hazel Duzan, 95, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at SOMC Hospice.
She was born Oct. 12, 1917, at Portsmouth; the daughter of the late William and Grace Esham. Hazel worked at Vulcan Corporation during World War II and after the war went to work at Bruce Canter’s Kopy Kat retiring in 1979. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Bible Class, and SOS Missions Circle, she also delivered Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Duzan and a sister Helen Goldstein.
Surviving are two sons Gary (Debbie) Duzan of Wheelersburg and Jim (Jo) Duzan of Richmond, Va. several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Melcher Funeral Home with Pastor John Gowdy officiating. Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
