VANCEBURG, KY. — Two inmates who escaped from the Lewis County Detention Center Friday were captured Saturday. Randall Napier, 28, of Red fox, Ky. and Roger Henson, 25, of Lost Creek, Ky. were captured separately.
According to the Lewis County Sheriff Department, Randall Napier was captured around Skidmore Drive in Garrison, Ky. Napier was spotted by Deputy Jesse Kontras, and took him into custody after pursuing him on foot. Napier is serving time for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Promoting Contraband, Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm), and Theft by Unlawful Taking (Firearm). In addition to the charges, Napier is now facing charges of Escape in the second degree and Fleeing and Evading Police.
The second inmate escapee, Roger Henson, 25, of Lost Creek, Ky. was apprehended Saturday by Lewis County Sheriff Deputies in Garrison, Ky. According to the LCSD, Chief Deputy Dewayne Stone spotted Henson walked on railroad tracks headed toward Garrison.
Deputies Matt Ross and Tom Polley were able to cut off Henson as he entered the Garrison area and apprehended him.
Henson had managed to obtain supplies and was armed with an 18-inch knife when taken into custody. Henson was serving time for Promoting Contraband and will now face charges of Escape in the second degree.
