Dorothy A. Carter, 78, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Franklin Furnace, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Sunbury, Ohio. Dorothy was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Franklin Furnace, a daughter of the late Frank and Murl Spears Willis. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L.Carter, sister Geneva Overholtzer and brother Raymond Willis. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Jack) Withers, Grandson Bobby Withers, brothers Edwin Willis, James (Donna) Willis, cousin Ralph (Sally) Spears and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a member of the North Park Church of Christ.

Dorothy’s life will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Rev. Ralph Spears officiating, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
