Doris Carter, 85

Doris J. Carter, 85, passed away July 25, 2012. She was born April 23, 1927, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late, James McClellan Hiles and Ethel (Noel) Hiles. She is preceded in death by six brothers, Perry, Frank, Raymond, Marion, Roger, and Charles; and two sisters, Mary Lenegar and Alberta Emrich. She is survived by children, Danny (Jennifer) Tabor and Jeanie (Frank) Gillette; brother, James Hiles; sister, Betty Gragg; grandchildren, Ryan (Anita) Gillette, Cindy (Mark) Jordan, Doug (Tammy) Gillette, Danny (Amy) Tabor, Kristina (Jerry) Davidson; great-grandchildren, Brooke Jordan, Brice Jordan, Wade Gillette, Will Gillette, Reese Gillette, Kyle Tabor, Kaleb Tabor, Jack Tabor, Alyssa Davidson, and Ian Davidson; and by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Helen Zaboik and Crossroads Hospice. Doris retired from The Ohio State University after many years of service.
