A semi/car crash has claimed the life of a Scioto County woman, shortly after 8 a.m. Friday.
Dead is Marilyn Osborne, 83, of Pond Run Road, Stout, the driver of the car. The semi-tractor trailer rig was driven by Mark Gifford, 49, also of Stout.
According to the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the semi was westbound on Ohio 125, while Osborne’s vehicle was eastbound on the same road, and went left of center, striking the semi.
Osborne was dead at the scene.
“They called for Lifeflight, then they ended up canceling it,” an OSHP spokesman said.
The OSHP said Ohio 125 was closed most of Friday as crews investigated and cleaned up the crash scene.
