Members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Sunday at 1637 A Seventh St., where they arrested Adam L. Collins, 32, of that address and charged him with possession of drugs - heroin, and possession of criminal tools.

Detectives located a small amount of heroin in the upstairs bedroom, and according to officers, Collins told them it was his. Detectives also located a set of digital scales with heroin on them. Collins reportedly told them he uses the scales to weigh his drugs.

Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Seventh Street in reference to a male with a gun. It was never determined that there had been shots fired, however several people said they were advised that the shots came from 1637 Seventh St. Police placed Tyler R. Jones, 18, of 1314 Lincoln Street in a cruiser, and officers heard noises coming from that cruiser.

A closer check by police determined he had kicked the inside of the cruiser door resulting in a dent and the inability to close the door properly. Jones was charged with vandalism, transported to the Scioto County Jail where he was placed in a restraint chair and placed in a holding cell.
