Arthur William Bloomfield, 77, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. 

Born Nov. 16, 1931, in Vanceburg, Ky., a son of the late Leroy and Dorothy Elizabeth “Parker” Bloomfield, he was owner/operator of Bloomfield Trucking, was a RC Cola Distributor for 25 years where he was awarded the Man with the Crown by RC Cola. He was a member of Cornerstone Nazarene Church, Aurora Masonic Lodge No. 48, was a 32nd degree Mason with the Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rites, a member of El Hasa Shrine and an honorary member of Musicians Local 482.

He is survived by his wife, Inez CPrise” Bloomfield whom he married Oct. 8, 1952; one daughter, Teresa “George” Harlow; one brother, James Preston Bloomfield; one sister, Mary Elizabeth “Susie” Damron; one grandson, Michael Harlow, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his neighbors of 40-plus years Gary, Joyce, Brian and Sandy Billups. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Doras Ann Bloomfield, and one brother, Lonzo Bloomfield. Art’s greatest joy was his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Rev. Gary Proehl officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.
