Arthur R. Hickman, 65, of Minford, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born Nov. 2, 1943, in Minford, a son of the late John Harvey and Amy McCain Hickman, he was employed by Osco Industries for 34 years and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Bloomfield Hickman, whom he married Sept. 8, 1966; three sons, Paul (Deonna) Hickman of Ashland, Ky., Ricky (Caroline) Hickman of Wheelersburg and Christopher (Jackie) Hickman of Wheelersburg; one granddaughter, Mia; one grandson, Clyde; four brothers, Arnold “Skip” (Barbara) Hickman of Minford, Robert (Norma) Hickman of Minford; William Ernest (Clara) Hickman of Dayton and Paul (Paula) Hickman of Portsmouth, and three sisters, Wilma (Ralph) Mault of Wheelersburg, Carolyn (Paul) Hinze of London, and Alice (Mike) McGraw of Minford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Kiser, and one brother, Harold Hickman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be at White Gravel Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
