The 2012 edition of the Southeast Ohio Softball Coach’s All-District All-Star Teams list features 66 area athletes many of which earned first team in their respective divisions.

Headlining the list of area honorees is Valley’s Braiden Dillow who earned a spot in the Division III First Team list and also earned Player of the Year. Dillow had 273 strikeouts in her senior season with a record of 25-1. She has committed to pitch at Bowling Green State University.

Dillow’s coach at Valley, Montie Spriggs, earned Divison IV Southeast District Coach of the Year after the Lady Indians won the SOC II and made an appearance in the Regional Final.

Working through First Team performers of each Division, Waverly’s Kayla Riffe was the lone Division II First Team member from the area.

Outside of Dillow, the area had eight other players place on the Division III First Team list. Dillow’s teammates Brooke Cooper and Kayla Koch, Minford’s Kelsey Conkey, Ironton’s Rebekkah Potter, Wheelersburg’s Taylor Dempsey, Piketon’s Hayleigh Swayne, Portsmouth’s Peighton Williams and Kayla Webb of West each earned First Team honors.

In Division IV, Hayley Gillian of Eastern, Katie Hill of Symmes Valley, Autumn Griffith of Clay, Katie Stevenson if Notre Dame, Haley Fisher of East, Jenna Crawford of Green, Marissa Miller of Clay, Emily Jordan of South Webster and Brenna Holter of Eastern each earned First Team honors.
