PDT Staff Report

A second man was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff Deputies on Wednesday evening, in connection with the killing of two dogs in Pedro.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Johnathan D. Jiles, age 20, of 27 Pvt. Dr. 380, State Route 373, was arrested at his residence without incident on the outstanding warrant concerning his involvement in the death of two dogs. He will face the same charges as Brian Sharp, who was arrested earlier this week. Those charges are first-degree misdemeanor prohibition concerning companion animals and fourth-degree misdemanor criminal trespass.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said both Sharp and Jiles have admitted their involvement to deputies, and claimed to be drunk at the time.
