Green Schools meeting dates change

The Green Local Board of Education has moved its regular board meeting in October to Oct. 17 and the regular meeting in November to Nov. 22.

Road work on Ky 827 scheduled

Ky 827 near Lynn: Crews will make drainage and embankment repairs on Ky 827 between Vernon Boyles Road and Henson Road/Malcolm Lane. The road will be closed during daytime work hours.

Event set for Homeless Veterans

The Chillicothe VA Medical Center will hold a “Stand Down For Homeless veterans” on Friday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Homeless veterans will be provided with a wide range of services including food, clothing medical legal and mental health assistance. The stand down will take place at the VA Medical Stadium, 17273 State Route 104 in Chillicothe.

Teachers to participate in McTeacher Night

Stanton Primary and Oak Intermediate teachers will be participating in “McTeacher Night“ at Portsmouth McDonald’s on Friday, September 23rd from 5-8pm. A percentage of profits earned during this time will supplement funding for special programs at both schools. A special appearance will be made by Ronald McDonald and face painting will be offered for children, as well. We invite the public to come support the New Boston Local School District on this night!
