Scioto County Auditor David L. Green announces the completion of the 2008 Scioto County Financial Statements. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 117.38 and 319.11, the county’s financial statements have been filed with the auditor of the state and are available for public inspection in the office of the county auditor.
The county auditor’s office is located in the Scioto County Courthouse at 602 Seventh St., Room 103. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
AEP plans outage
AEP will be doing a planned outage for about five minutes at 5 a.m. Monday in the village of New Boston.
Meadow’s SmARTalk is Wednesday
Ceramic artist Bill Meadows, whose decorative crystalline vessels are currently on display in the Southern Ohio Museum’s At Your Service: Functional Ceramics exhibition, will offer a SmARTalk at noon Wednesday in the museum’s second-floor Richards Gallery. Meadows will bring his pottery wheel and demonstrate the tricks and techniques of his trade. Meadows’ demonstration was rescheduled from July 8 because of the artist’s illness.
Admission to the program is free. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sack lunches or to order a $6 catered box lunch by telephoning the museum desk at (740) 354-5629 no later than 2 p.m. Tuesday.
