He was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Bloomington, Ky., a son of the late Archie and Nola Whitt Adams. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Freda Young Adams; daughters, Deborah Reed-Kibbey, Pamela Belford and Kay Adams; brother, Scott Adams; sisters, Charlotte Holt, Gay Nicely, Betty Gayhart, Jeanette Barker and Shirley Ann Yates; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., with Pastor Doug Newell officiating and interment in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
