Louise Davis, 88

Louise “Wee Wee” Henson Davis, 88, of New Boston, died Monday, June 17, 2013, at her residence.

She was born July 4, 1924, in New Boston, a daughter of the late Harrel and Martha Meenach Henson. Louise was a homemaker and member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Purdy Howard of South Shore, Ky., Carol Zornes and husband Mike of McDermott; her beloved dog, Cuddles; a brother, Earl Henson of New Boston; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Davis whom she married on April 2, 1945, in Greenup, Ky.; a daughter, Brenda Dillow; a sister, Gladys Henson; four brothers, George, Raymond, Martin and Clarence Henson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at North Moreland Christian Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Hill, Allison from SOMC Hospice, Crystal and Thea from Community Choice and Connie from Area Agency on Aging.
