Denise Gale Hambrick, 52

Denise Gale Hambrick, 52, of Sciotoville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Born on January 23, 1961, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of Paul and Emma Martin Adkins, and was retired from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland.

Denise was a graduate of Minford High School, was in the dental assistant program at Vo-Tech, and attended Bonser Run Christian Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, Paul Adkins, and a brother, Mark Adkins.

Surviving are her husband, Keith Allen Hambrick, a son, Matthew (Jackie) Shaffer of Sciotoville, her mother, Emma Martin Adkins of Portsmouth, two brothers, Randy (Christie) Adkins of Rosemount and Scott (Donna) Adkins of Portsmouth; two sisters, Glenda Cordle of Portsmouth and Susan Yvette (Brian) Sherman of Sciotoville; and two very special grandchildren with whom she was vacationing with, Kailey Gale Lynn Shaffer and Elijah Paul Shaffer, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Gordon Boggs and Darrell Lore officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James Cancer Center in Columbus.

Eldon Wilder, 83, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Best Care.

Surviving are three loving daughters. Robin Coriell, Pat Rodriguez, and Marie Wilder; and several grandchildren.

Services are at the convenience of the family. Melcher Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
