LONDON, Ky- The 12U Kentucky Mudcats are the 2014 USSSA 12AA Kentucky State Baseball Champions. The 12U Kentucky Mudcats wrapped up the championship title at the South London Little League Complex on June 14-15. By winning the state tournament, the Kentucky Mudcats are qualified for the USSSA World Series.
During the state tournament, the Mudcats offense scored a total of 39 runs with 10 of those being home runs while the Mudcats pitching staff produced 22 strikeouts.
Players for the Kentucky Mudcats consist of boys from Kentucky and Ohio. Members are Jake Gregg of Ashland along with Jake Heighton, Seth Mills, Kirk Pence, Braydon Shore and Chase Thornsberry of Raceland. Representing Ohio are Beau Brownstead, Collin Freeman and Isaac Whaley from Ironton and rounding out the roster are Braydon Davis and Luke Lindamood from Minford.
The 12U Kentucky Mudcats will play in the Rambler Rumble on the River Tournament June 20-22 at the Worthington Baseball Complex and the Brookville Baseball Bash June 27-29 at Golden Gate Park in Brookville, Ohio.
The Kentucky Mudcats Baseball Club was established in the fall of 2004 and is based at the Worthington Baseball Complex in Raceland. The Kentucky Mudcats are managed and coached by Marty Mills.
