The Minford Falcons improved their record to 10 games above .500 with a 13-3 victory over the Notre Dame Titans Tuesday evening in Minford.

Eli Daniels led the way offensively for the Falcons, going 2-for-3 with a home run. Jared Alley added a double and three RBIs. And Derrick Stringer added three RBIs of his own.

Tyler Comer picked up the victory for Minford, who improved to 7-3 in SOC play. The Falcons will be back in action Wednesday, when they travel to South Webster tomorrow to take on the Jeeps.

Clay 13, Green 3

The Clay Panthers made quick work of the Green Bobcats Tuesday afternoon, winning 13-3 in five innings, completing the game just before the evening rain.

Cami Whitley led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 3-for-3. With a single, a double and a triple, she was a homer away from the cycle. She scored four runs, and added two RBIs. Sydney Carter also went 3-for-3, as she batted in three runs.

Danielle Cline pitched an abbreviated complete game, striking out nine batters over five innings.

The Panthers will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Western to take on the Indians.

In the first game of Saturday’s Carol Vice Classic, the Clay Panthers used a strong pitching performance to power passed the North Adams Green Devils.

Danielle Cline picked up the win for the Panthers. She pitched a complete-game two hitter, and did not allow an earned run. She also struck out nine batters.

Cline also helped her own cause at the plate, going 2-for-3. She doubled, and drove in one of the Panthers two runs.

The second game of the Carol Vice Classic wasn’t as kind to the Panthers. In a game that took an extra three innings to decide a winner, Clay fell to the Georgetown G-Men by the score of 7-6.

Jessica Moore led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 3-for-5. She drove in three runs, and scored one herself.

For the second time in the day, Jessica Cline went the distance. Went it was all said and done, Cline had pitched 16 innings on the day, allowing just three earned runs.
