The Clay Panthers scored six runs in the first three innings on their way to an 11-4 victory over the Eastern Eagles Thursday evening in Beaver.


Cami Whitley and Jessica Moore led the Panthers with 4-for-4 days at the dish. Whitley and Moore scored six of the 11 runs for Clay in the contest.


Danielle Cline got the win for the Panthers as the junior went five innings and struck out a pair of batters. Gabby Hickman pitched the remaining two innings and also struck out two batters while walking none.


Clay will play its fifth straight game in a row in another SOC I contest against Green in Franklin Furnace.

The South Webster Jeeps put up four runs in the fourth and sixth innings en route to an 11-3 victory over New Boston in a nonconference affair Thursday evening.

Alek Blevins led South Webster by going 2-for-4 at the dish with a triple and three RBI, while Shane Zimmerman and Nathan Wolfenbarker added two hits in three at-bats and accumulated a double, four runs, and four RBI between the two of them.

Cory Hall picked up the victory on the mound by going 4 1/3 innings and giving up two earned runs.

Tyler Shonkwiler led the Tigers by going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI.

Wheelersburg 5, Northwest 2

Tristan Browning went 2-for-3 at the dish with a double and an RBI to lead the Pirates to an SOC II conference victory over Northwest Wednesday evening.

Dylan Miller got in the batting column as well added a hit in three at-bats and scored a run for Wheelersburg.

Northwest was led by Flip Cassidy, who belted a two-run homer in the first inning and was walked in his two other plate appearances on the evening. Marcus Potter added on a 2-for-4 effort with a run scored for the Mohawks.

The Mohawks will take on SOC II rival West Friday evening at home.
