The Wheelersburg Pirates finished their season on a high note with a victory over the Waverly Tigers 54-39 in a makeup contest from the regular season.

Sydney Holden led the Pirates with 11 points, nine rebounds and five assists as Wheelersburg finished the season with a 13-7 record and 9-5 in conference play.

Sarah Willis, Maggie Stegman and Kallie Coleman also had strong performances for the Pirates.

Willis scored seven points while grabbing seven boards. Coleman only scored five while Stegman added four points, but both players contributed on the glass, pulling down five rebounds a piece.

On the defensive end, Maklyla Akers recorded four steals in the victory for Wheelersburg.

Kilee Perdue and Bri Wiget led the Tigers in points with 10 each.
