Despite 10 points from Bri Wiget, No. 9 Waverly’s chances of an upset came short Wednesday in a 59-36 setback to No. 1 Jackson in a Dvision II Southeast Sectional Semifinal at Zane Trace.


Hannah Martin had nine points and seven rebounds while Laken Smith added eight points and four rebounds. The Tigers close out their season with an SOC II makeup game against Wheelersburg. The date for the contest has yet to be announced.
