Oak Hill climbed one spot closer to the top Tuesday night in the latest Associated Press Ohio High School girls basketball poll.

The Oaks, who claimed the SOC II outright with a 39-37 win over South Webster, are second in Division III, 39 points behind Andover Pymatuning Valley. Oak Hill leapfrogged Archbold for second despite the Blue Streaks winning both of their games last week.

Also in the region, Reedsville Eastern re-assumed the No. 1 spot in Division IV thanks to ending Waterford’s 60-game Tri-Valley Conference home winning streak 75-44 and Berlin Hiland’s 50-41 loss to Sugarcreek Garaway.

Lastly, Jackson’s 59-51 win Saturday against Athens not only dropped the Bulldogs from the ranks of the unbeaten and from fourth to sixth, but it also put the Ironladies back into statewide recognition at 11th, two points from 10th-place Steubenville.

Not only did Division IV see a change at the top, so did Division I. Cincinnati Princeton assumes the role after Wadsworth lost its first game of the season.
