Piketon’s 14-8 scoring advantage over Chillicothe Southeastern in the second quarter proved to be the difference in the game as the Redstreaks defeated the Panthers by a 44-38 tally in an SVC girls matchup.


Ashlee Lawhorn scored a game-high 16 points and Kara Blanton added 14 of her own to help Piketon improve to 12-3 overall and 6-3 in conference play.


Southeastern was led by Logan Goebel and Audrie Wheeler, as the pair tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.


Both teams will get a day to rest before they take to the court on Saturday, as the Redstreaks will host Unioto while the Panthers will travel to Paint Valley.
