Host Valley had four players crack double figures and went 19-of-20 from the free throw line as a team in a 67-53 SOC II win over Wheelersburg.


Kamryn Conaway led the Indians with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Lexie Doddridge finished with 15 points and five assists, Megan Duduit chipped in with 13 points and six assists while Taylor Skaggs added 10 points and seven rebounds. Sydney Holden led all scorers with 20 in the loss.


Valley travels Saturday morning to Ironton. The Pirates return home Monday to entertain South Webster.

South Webster 42, Minford 40

South Webster was able to take advantage of a balanced scoring effort as the host Jeeps clawed out a 42-40 SOC II victory over Minford.

Kacie Hall led South Webster’s scoring attack as the sophomore scored 12 points while Courtney Blanton added 10 points of her own and accounted for both of the Jeeps’ made 3-pointers for the evening.

Brooklyn Yeley led all scorers in the defeat with 13 points while Carrie Wynn added a dozen. Overall, Yeley and Wynn combined for five of the eight 3-pointers made by the Falcons on the night.

With the win, South Webster moves to 10-2 on the season and has now obtained a 6-2 overall record in conference play. The Jeeps will travel Monday to Wheelersburg to take on the Pirates in an SOC II contest.

Minford dropped to 3-4 in conference play with the loss and will play Saturday against Paint Valley. The Falcons and Bearcats were originally scheduled to play Dec. 7 but weather forced its postponement.

Oak Hill 51, Northwest 44

Leanna Adkins posted one of the highest-scoring marks in the season Thursday to help visiting Oak Hill to a 51-44 SOC II win over Northwest.


Adkins led all scorers with 30 points on the evening. Darbie Jenkins led the Mohawks with 12 points while K’Lee McClurg added 11 and Ashley Riley chipped in with 10.


The Oaks hit the road again Monday to take on SOC II foe Waverly. Northwest entertains Minford in Monday’s conference action.

Symmes Valley 53, Green 27

Symmes Valley rebounded from a loss at Southern last weekend by defeating Green 53-27 Thursday evening in an SOC I contest.

The Vikings were led by Elly Fulks and Kalli Hunt as the pair added 14 points apiece in the victory. Madison Applegate led the Bobcats by scoring 12 of Green’s 27 points in the contest.

Both teams will play a pair of SOC I contests on Monday evening as Symmes Valley will host Eastern while Green will travel to Notre Dame.
