Minford improved its record to 6-5 after defeating Rock Hill 53-27 Saturday.


Brooklyn Yeley hit five three-point field goals for the Falcons on her way to a game high 19 points. Teammate Kylie Berry drained two threes of her own as she finished the contest with 12 points.


Minford stifled the Redmen in the second half, allowing only six points.


The Falcons travel Jan 6. to Waverly.

South Webster 77, Clay 52

South Webster picked up its eighth win of the year by beating Clay 77-52 Saturday afternoon.

Kacie Hall hit three three-point field goals to lead the lady Jeeps with 18 points while also recording eight steals. Cheyenne Weakley also hit three three-point field goals for South Webster as she finished the game with 15 points. Courtney Blanton scored 14 points for the Jeeps while dishing out eight assists.

Kimber Johnson helped the South Webster’s cause by pulling down seven rebounds.

The Panthers were led by Katie Redding who scored a game high 26 points. Teammate Emily Widdowson finished the contest with 11 points.

South Webster returns to the hard court Monday as the Jeeps travel to Portsmouth.

The Green Bobcats picked up their second win of the season by beating Phelps (Ky.) 41-29 in the Ashland (Ky.) Fairview tournament.

Kaylynn Blizzards scored a game high 22 points for Green. Jessica Patrick also scored in double figures for the Bobcats, finishing the contest with 10 points.

Green returns to the hardwood Saturday as Notre Dame comes to town.

Hayden Dunn scored a game high 19 points to lead the Indians charge. Jordan West and Bryan Rolfe also scored in double figures for Valley. West finished with 16 points while Rolfe scored 13.

The Indians play Friday at home against South Webster.
