Despite eight 3-pointers from Wheelersburg, Valley improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in the SOC II thanks to a 67-60 road win Friday night.


Hayden Dunn led the Indians with a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds while Jordan West added 14, Bryan Rolfe chipped in with 12 points and six assists while Chris Flowers finished with 11. The Pirates were led by Dylan Miller with 17 and 10 each from Eddie Miller and Jordan Spradlin.


Valley heads back on the road Tuesday night to West. Wheelersburg will venture to South Webster.

Michael Hafer’s 16 points and six rebounds aided visiting West to a 50-46 SOC II win Friday at Waverly.

Austin Bricker added 11 points and six rebounds for the Senators. Aaron Heibel led the Tigers with a game-high 17 points while Pierce Knisley (15) and Jake Henderson (13) each finished in double figures.

West will host Ironton St. Joseph Saturday night. Waverly will be on the road Tuesday night to Jackson County to face Oak Hill.

Oak Hill battled from a 33-27 halftime deficit to come away with a 61-50 home SOC II win over Northwest.


Jordan Fisher led the Oaks with 20 points while Jonathon Harrison and Garrin Stiltner each had 18. Drew Scarberry finished with a game-high 26 in the loss.


River Valley makes the trip to Oak Hill Saturday night while the Mohawks return home Tuesday to entertain Minford.

Notre Dame 53, New Boston 17

A stingy defensive effort helped host Notre Dame claim a 53-17 SOC I victory Friday over New Boston.


The Tigers did not reach the 10-point mark the entire game and were held to a single point in the third quarter. C.J. Smith led the Titans with 13 points. Daniel Ogg had eight rebounds. Billy Nichols and James Spicer had five each in the loss.


Notre Dame travels Tuesday to Green while New Boston will host Western.

Eastern scored the game’s final seven points with under a minute in regulation to post a 49-43 SOC I win Friday at Clay.

Cody Vulgamore led all scorers with 15 points in the win. Eldin Sarajlic finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Michael Schmidt had 10 rebounds in the defeat.

Both teams are on the road Saturday as the Eagles travel to Ironton and the Panthers are at Manchester.

Symmes Valley had three players reach double figures Friday in a 64-42 SOC I win over visiting Green.


Tyler Rowe and Jonathon Kouns each had 15 points while Kurt Adams contributed with 13 in a winning effort. Trent Marcum carried the Bobcats with a game-high 17 for the contest.


The Vikings make their first trek into Pike County Tuesday to take on Eastern. Green returns home Saturday to host Rock Hill.
