The All-Ohio list was released Tuesday and 16 area athletes earned state recognition in Division IV while five athletes were honored in division V.

Wheelersburg had three players earn first team honors as Eddie Miller and Dylan Miller earned spots on the Division V First Team offense while teammate Camron Parsley was named to the Division V First Team defense.

Eddie Miller lead the Pirate offense by completing 67 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,219 yards, 27 touchdowns and six interceptions. The senior signal caller also carried the ball 108 times for 902 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Dylan Miller was the beneficiary of Eddie Miller’s high completion percentage as the senior wideout hauled in 69 passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns.

Parsley helped the 11-2 Pirates reach the regional semifinals by recording 60 tackles, 48 solo and three sacks.

Tyler Claxon earned a spot on the Division V Third team offense. Claxon had 69 catches for 825 yards and 13 touchdowns.

On the Division IV side, Minford senior Jared McCray found himself on the Division IV Second Team offensive list. The 6-foot-6-inch, 325 pound lineman had verbally committed to the Louisville Cardinals until a change of heart led McCray to re-open his recruitment process.

McCray has been touted as the best football prospect to come out of Scioto County since John Prior, Gerald and Nate Cadogan. Prior signed played for Florida State before finishing his collegiate career in Athens. Gerald Cadogan graduated from Penn State University while brother Nate started his career in Happy Valley before transferring to Hampton.
