Jordan West’s game-high 18 points along with 13 from Chris Flowers lifted homestanding Valley to a 69-39 nonconference win Tuesday over Division III Regional Champion Ironton.


In all, the Indians had nine players crack the scoring column. Tristan Cox led the Fighting Tigers with a dozen while Joe Bowling added 11.


Valley entertains Northwest Friday to begin SOC II play. Ironton

Despite a team-high 18 points from Michael Davis, West dropped its first game of the season in a 72-44 nonconference game at Coal Grove.

Michael Hafer added 12 for the Senators. West starts SOC II play Friday to play host to Wheelersburg.

Piketon 30, Paint Valley 27

Piketon won its first game of the season Tuesday with a 30-27 SVC win over visiting Paint Valley.


Faith Pack led the Redstreaks in scoring with eight points while Katie Ward had three points to go along with her eight rebounds and three blocks in the winning effort. Aleah Pelphrey chipped in with five points, six rebounds and three blocks of her own.


Piketon returns to the court Thursday as Adena comes to town.
