Valley scored 42 unanswered points and breezed past host Coal Grove 56-21 to extend the Indians’ regular season winning streak to 23 games.


Nate Arnett finished with 12 carries for 177 yards and four touchdowns on the night and held the Hornets to 77 yards rushing. Valley, which finished with 285 yards on the ground, plays its first home game of the season Friday when Chesapeake comes to town.

Northwest is on its first two-game winning streak since 2011 as the Mohawks led from wire-to-wire to beat visiting Chillicothe Huntington 28-6 in Friday’s nonconference tilt.

Micah Campbell finished with 154 yards rushing on 18 attempts with four touchdowns on the evening while Gabe Burton added 109 yards on 20 carries. Northwest will host Notre Dame next Friday.
