GREENUP, Ky. — The Coal Branch Neighborhood Watch is hosting their annual picnic on Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m. at the Eastham & Associates building. NW is extending an invitation to residents, family and friends to join them for this community event.

Carl Boggs, Watch Captain for the Coal Branch Neighborhood Watch, said they are really looking forward to the picnic.

“This event is for everyone. It is for the whole community. The Neighborhood Watch is putting it on, but it is more a community event in general,” Boggs said. “It is just something to bring the community together.”

According to Boggs, this is the fifth year for the Coal Branch Neighborhood Watch organization.

“This is our fifth year. Coal Branch is not really bad, as far as break-ins, but it is more preventative than anything. We just try to do our part, everyone here does,” he said.

The picnic menu will include hamburgers and hot dogs. Participants are being asked to bring their own beverages, a covered dish, and folding chairs.

Live music will be provided, as well as games. According to Boggs, Tim Church will be returning with his kiddie train.

For more information regarding the picnic, contact Carl Boggs at 606-473-0080, Art Maynard at 606-475-7912, or Scott Potter at 606-473-4005.
