On Aug. 5, singer Cole Swindell will be delivering a unique live performance on “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock”, a special filmed during this year’s sold out 2014 CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee in June. But you can see him before his TV performance, at the Pike County Fair on Wednesday, July 30. Swindell will be the week’s main attraction.
“Those who need tickets can call me and come up here to the extension office and pick them up,” Debbie Martin, who is in charge of advance sale tickets, said. “I’m usually here about three hours a day (9 a.m. to noon). Tickets are $10 apiece.”
The original plan was to sell only 300 tickets, but that has changed.
“We had to print out more,” Martin said. “We have such a high demand for them, we’re probably going to sell an extra 100. We’re getting a lot of people from Jackson, Adams and Scioto County. So those tickets are going pretty fast. People are usually buying six to 10 at a time.”
The Pike County Fairgrounds are located just off U.S. 23 in Piketon. Their phone number is 740-289-4689 and the fair runs July 25 through Aug. 2.
Goble said the Pike County Fair is great fun for the entire family.
