The Scioto County Republican Party announced Ohio Auditor of State David Yost will be the featured speaker at their annual Lincoln Day Banquet, scheduled for Tuesday.
Other officials that are anticipated to be in attendance include, 90th House District State Representative Dr. Terry Johnson, 14th Ohio Senate District Senator Joe Uecker and Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French.
“This is an opportunity for anyone interested in politics to get together and enjoy an evening of fellowship and meet the various candidates that are running,” said Kay Reynolds, co-chair of the Scioto County Republican Party. “This is an event we are very much looking forward to and do so every year.”
She said over the course of the evening participants will hear from all five Republican County Commissioner candidates and two Probate/Juvenile Court Judge candidates. Reynolds said the annual dinner has become quite the tradition within the party.
“We’re expecting over 450 people to in attendance this year. This could set a new record,” Reynolds said.
She said the record attendance could be because of the recent level of interest in the Scioto County Republican Party. Reynolds said there will be a silent auction of various items will be held with the proceeds going to support the activities of the local party.
