Deputies of the Greenup County (Ky.) Sheriff’s Office arrested Paul David Sergent, 36, of Wurtland Tuesday after receiving a tip that Sergent was operating a methamphetamine lab.
According to Keith Cooper, Greenup County Sheriff, deputies from his office received a tip that Sergent was in the process of gathering equipment that is needed to produce methamphetamine. Deputies arrived at Sergent’s location in Worthington, where they searched the home, after they were granted permission by the homeowner to do so.
Sergeant was found at the residence with ingredients typically used for making meth. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies also discovered syringes, spoons, and tubing.
Cooper said Sergent is a convicted felon, and he was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm and manufacturing meth. He is being held in the Greenup County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.
