The influx of oxycodone pills into Scioto County has not gone away. While those numbers have gone down over the last couple of years, Scioto County continues to be plagued by the illegal possession of opiates. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has seized 100 pills with a street value of $4,50,0 and arrested two teenagers in the process.

The two teenagers, Dalana B. Boggon, 18, and Jermal L. Cannon, 18, both of Detroit, Mich., are facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in Scioto County.

Troopers stopped a 2012 Chevrolet Impala on U.S. 23, near Rosemount, at approximately 3:14 p.m. for unspecified traffic violations. Troopers said they observed criminal indicators and the subsequent search revealed 150 30-milligram oxycodone pills with an approximate street value of $4,500.

Boggon and Cannon, were charged with possession of oxycodone, a felony of the second-degree. Boggon was cited and released. Cannon was incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail. Additional booking information on Cannon was not available at the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, as they had no record of his booking process.
