According to released information from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, they are investigating the death of a pedestrian that was hit by a vehicle.


Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call on Oct. 31 on Kentucky Route 1306 where there was a report of a female lying in the roadway.


Upon arrival, deputies discovered the female who was identified as Heather Stone, 36 of Trace Creek in Lewis County, had been struck by a motor vehicle and had sustained injuries.


Stone was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment and was subsequently transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, where she died as a result of her injuries.


Arrangements for Stone are pending at the Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison, Ky.
