GALLIPOLIS — Gail Evans, a watercolor artist living in Upper Arlington, Ohio, will be featured in the French Art Colony galleries through September 29. The beautiful works in watercolor encompass portraits, still life and landscapes from Europe and the United States. A number of regional locales are featured, as well. Evans attended Miami University and Ohio University graduating with degrees in Fine Arts and Counseling. She is a member of the Worthington Area Art League and the Central Ohio Watercolor Society. Her works are in many area shows throughout the year and is prominent in several private collections. “Watercolor My World” opened Saturday, August 31. The French Art Colony Galleries are open Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Admission is free. The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this organization with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
