A woman has been arrested and a man is being sought in the theft of a four-wheeler.
Arrested was Michelle F. Cattee, 27 of Oak Hill, Ohio. Cattee has been charged with one count of breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of felony theft, a felony of the fifth degree, and one count of criminal tools, also a felony of the fifth degree. Cattee was held on a $7,500 bond.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said warrants have been filed on Joshua C. Miller, 25, of Bussey Road, Wheelersburg — the male subject they said fled the area.. Miller is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes.
Donini said his office received a call on Friday from an Essman Sugar Camp Road residence stating that they had been broken into and a four-wheeler had been stolen. Donini said his deputies and detectives responded to the location and were able to determine that the male suspect had fled the area on the stolen four-wheeler which he later wrecked, resulting in his fleeing foot.
While searching the area detectives said they located the suspect vehicle, a red Dodge extended cab truck, hidden behind another residence. The suspect truck was towed by Dales Towing.
Detectives and deputies later located Cattee, who was arrested at the scene and the stolen four-wheeler was recovered. Donini said warrants have been filed on Miller, twho reportedly fled the area.
Donini said the investigation of the incident is ongoing, and will result in other charges being presented to the Scioto County grand jury at a later date. He said anyone with any information concerning the breaking & entering should contact Detective Denver Triggs at 740-351-1093.
