One Greenup County, Ky., man has been critically stabbed, and another man has been charged in that incident.
Greenup County, Kentucky Sheriff Keith M. Cooper, said around 11:01 p.m. Tuesday, Greenup County Sheriff’s deputies and troopers with the Kentucky State Police, responded to the 16000 block of Kentucky Route 7 regarding a 911 report of a stabbing. All that is known about the victim, Timothy Grizzle, 41, of 2901 Cub Run Road, is that he was flown from the scene with possible life-threatening injuries.
Officers said, when they arrived at the scene, they found Grizzle lying in the middle of the street, bleeding profusely and semi unconscious. Officers said the man could not speak because of the critical injuries and multiple stab wounds.
The suspect, Kenton R. Imel, 29, of 429 Imel Road, has been arrested and charged with assault in the first degree. He was lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.
Cooper said the investigation is being led by Deputy David A. Bocook.
