Shawnee Nature Club’s Selection of Students to Attend 2016 Science Camp

The Executive Committee of the Shawnee Nature Club approved five Fifth grade students to attend the CSI: Shawnee Science Camp this summer sponsored by the Scioto Soil and Water Conservation District.

CSI: Shawnee Science Camp is available to students in 5th – 8th grades. Camp includes a 2 day and 2 night stay at Boy Scout Camp Oyo in West Portsmouth and will cover many conservation and environmental science topics. Students will learn about the world around them and about careers in the natural resources fields.

Students approved for a scholarship to attend the science camp are Kason Bauer and Christopher Queen from Valley Middle School and Hollyann Bundy, Olivia Deacon, and Georgia Ferguson from Wheelersburg Middle School.

Tuition to attend the camp is provided by the Harry and Elsie Knighton Scholarship Fund administered by the Scioto Foundation.
