Two vehicle crash in Russell, Ky.

RUSSELL, Ky. — A two vehicle crash occurred on US 23 South at Diederich Blvd. in Russell, Ky. on Wednesday at approximately 8:30 p.m., according to reports from Greenup E911.

Greenup County E-911 personnel told The Daily Times that both the northbound and southbound lanes of US 23 in Russell, Ky. were shut down for approximately two hours, as the traffic signals were not operational as a result of the automobile accident. The two vehicles involved in the crash were a 2008 Pontiac, and a 2015 Ford F-150 truck.

Only one of the drivers was injured, and transported to Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. according to Greenup E911 staff. Authorities said no other information was available regarding the details of the crash.
