The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information in an assault from 11 years ago, and a reward is on the line.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said an anonymous donor is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons involved in the Nov. 7, 2003, attack on Fred Raike that occurred at his home in Wheelersburg.
Detectives said the 85-year-old man was assaulted and stabbed several times in his home. they said the victim stated that the two men knocked on his door wanting to use the telephone and Raike told them he did not have one. He told authorities that is when one of the men pulled a knife on him and demanded money.
Scioto County Sheriff’s Captain David Hall told the Daily Times, anybody with any information concerning that case should contact Detective Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091.
